Forums, Icons and Gravatars

I was fiddling with different forum plugins.  Some I liked, and some I didn't.  I think... *maybe* I'm going to keep the current one (wp-forum), I may modify it a bit, but I just don't think I'll have too much to mess with it this week.  After I'm done tweaking I'll start adding some content.  That shouldn't be too hard, just a bit of writting but that's okay.

The other thing I need to do is install the gravatars.  I don't remember if I have an account or not, but I suppose I should make one up if I don't.  Hopefully I can get that up and running by the end of this week or by sometime next week.

Icons:  I'm still having trouble with the.  It's just another thing I have to troubleshoot.  I'll read some of the WP support forums and see if I can get that fixed too.

*sigh*  I'm sleepy.

What a day...

So, I've been furiously working on this site, and little by little is becoming what I want it to be.  I still can't believe I'm doing this all on my own, I've never been good with codes, css or html stuff.  But I guess where there's a will, there's a way.

 Anyway, I have uploaded a forum for the site.  Now all I need to do is figure out how to pimp it so that people visit it and I can start testing it out.  Hopefully, I get some good feedback.  But sometimes it's a bit discouraging.  So far I have none.  Zip! Nada! 

I think I'm the only one reading this blog thingy, but I guess that's okay.  I just hope the forum takes off a bit.  I suppose we shall see.

Icon & Smilies Update

Well, I've been doing some tweaking and the icons feature work!  So *yay!*  I'm really happy now about that.  Now, if I could only get the smilies to work.  They only work on one of the posts but not for any other.  I really don't understand what the deal is.  I'm so stumped, it's annoying.  BAH!  Okay, back to some tweaking.

Icons!

I downloaded a plugin for icons, so I'm just testing it out.  It works just like the avatars on LiveJournal. Anyway, I'm still tweaking... still trying to get this layout to work for me.  It does have many bugs, but I really like the design and I want to make it work.  The other thing that I am working on is trying to get the smilies to work propertly on the site.  For the longest time I couldn't get the smilies to work, but they half do now.  So that's some improvement.  *go me!*  :)

I Rule!

So slowly but surely I've been making some progress on the website.  I'm actually proud of myself and such.  I didn't think I would ever get it, but slowly things started to make sense and the  little light bulb in my had started to go *ping!*  It was a very nice feeling.

I do feel like a zombie though.  My eyes keep closing, but I refuse to stop!  I just can't!  Not while things still make sense in me brains.

Ooo!  And while I'm at it, I should probably test the nifty video embedding thingy I downloaded :)

*bleh*

So... I am still trying to figure out my site.  I'm not the smartest cookie when it comes to codes and such.  Pretty much all that I know, I've learned on my own- so, if I get stumped on something I get stumped pretty good.  Ugh!  It's really annoying.

 *le sigh*  I just wish I'd figure this thing out already.  It's giving me a head ache.

 Maybe some breakfast will help ease the brain and get all those cells working properly.  Wish me luck!  Ooo!  Also, I. Must. Remember. To. Post. Fics.  Nuff said.
